Staff from Collins Aerospace came into Futures to speak to the Year 9 pathway students who have been doing a project on flight.
Aniel presented more detail on the theory of flight and grilled the students on the technical questions he had set them. Aniel had kindly reviewed the students’ project work before he came. Michael (who had been a student on our campus) talked to the students about apprenticeships. We look forward to continued partnership with Collins and hope that we will be able to visit their factory soon.
The valuable guidance given to the students (Anay, Jed, Baillee, Kristen and Jayden) helped them build a glider that the won distance challenge at a nationwide competition organised by RAF Cosford Museum. See more here.
